Mike's Page Of Interesting Stuff presents...

ME, In all his glory!

Hi, my name is Mike Gallant, and I hope that you find something on this web site to your taste. My main interests tend to be computers, cars, car magazines and even more car magazines and books. Since I tend to like these things, I have many pages devoted to those items.

Visit my Photo Gallery at http://alienc.serveftp.net/nGallery. You will find lots of pictures there of interest to myself and possibly to you. It's on a slow connection so be patient for the photos to load as they are saved in high quality.

Well, I hope you enjoy looking over what I have to offer, and if you have any suggestions you can either e-mail me at typer@nbnet.nb.ca. .

You are entrant # in the Mike Gallant homepage contest!!!

New Pages I have Created Recently

My Olivetti Portable Page

This page is about a computer I have never heard of anyone else owning, an Olivetti "Portable PC". Built as a clone to the IBM portable and enclosed in a sewing machine type luggable case, it was no "portable" in the sense that you would not carry it, you would "LUG" it. Provides information on the machine and updates on what I have done with it

My PC Collection

This page is a list and description of all the PC's I own. Pictures are in the process of coming but are few for now. Lots of interesting tidbits about all the machines I have, working or not.

The IBM PC Page

This page focuses on the early IBM PC's produced mainly through the 80's. It covers he original PC, XT, AT and the PS/2 models as well as hopefully becoming a place where people can post problems with these systems and people can provide solutions or suggestions for them.

The 1980-1982 Vettes

Still under construction, these pages highlight the 1980-1982 models and what advantages they have over the earlier and later models, along with some pictures and detailed specs on them. This page will hopefully be complete in the near future.

Web Pages currently in operation

The Celica Homepage

Due to a request from a friend of mine, I put together this web site on the history of the Toyota Celica. It contains pictures, specifications and other miscellaneous tidbits from all 6 generations of this well-known GT car.

The 1986 Chevrolets

This page is a project I started a few months ago and forgot about until the last few days where I have been finishing it up. It includes pictures of all 1986 Chevrolet models plus a brief description of the vehicle including engines, transmissions and trim levels.

My Address Book of People I Know

Previously I had only grads from my class on this page, but now I am opening it to anyone that wants to be on it. I will add those people that I have e-mail addresses for. If you want your name added to it, send an e-mail with your info to typer@nbnet.nb.ca..

My Résumé

If you want to see what kind of education I have, what I have done in the past for jobs and what software programs I know, check this page out

My Programming Page

This page has links to some of my work, and links to programming related sites. If you like computer programming or would like to more about it then take a look at the information on the web page. It has not been updated in awhile, but I do plan on making additions to it in the near future.

Other Web Pages I Have Created

Note: Most of these pages are not longer being updated, so if you find a dead link or if some of the information seems dated, I apologize. If you want to report a dead link, e-mail me at typer@nbnet.nb.ca..

Road Test of the 1966 Chevy II Nova

I got this out of an old Motor Trend magazine and thought that it might interest those of you who like cars. I have scanned in pictures of the car too, along with a summary of what was said about the car in the magazine review.

COMP '97 Homepage

The page that got me started on web pages. I came up with an idea to scan in pictures from a class party at my work term placement and put them up on a web page so that everyone could see them. It kind of grew from there into a sort of hodge podge of information about grads, where they worked, their e-mail addresses. It became a good place to find out what people were up to. I also added pictures from other get togethers and added a few joke pages and even a game featuring one of our more flamboyant grads. But, as time went by, I ran out of ideas and interest, so I simplified the page and let it sit, until I decided to retire the COMP '97 Homepage and start up a new homepage with more diversity.

Stories of My Rather Spirited Driving

I wrote this page one late night in about 2 hours when I was bored, so you'll have to excuse it's crudeness. But it does tell many of the things I have done while driving a car that I would NEVER do again. You know sort of a do it once, learn to never do it again.
