Highlights of the 1980 Corvette

Many other small changes were made to the 1980 Corvette, many were to try to increase the fuel economy of this performance car, a car that was well known for being anything but economical. The grille was raked more steeply and the front end had a new fibreglass face bar and corner braces. Also the 4-speed manual box was fitted with longer gear ratios and the automatic was given a lock-up torque convertor to further improve economy. Other small changes to the interior included relocation of the power door-lock button, and a single, large storage compartment in place of the previous 2 units.
